Is it normal for GuineaPigs to lose their top teeth?

Everyday I check my GineaPig Ginny's teeth.I checked them


last night and they were fine.I checked them today and his


top teeth are missing! Is that a bad thing,or is it a thing of life?


Help,this is my first GuineaPig and I want to keep it!!

Reply:Did you drop her? Did she have something that could break her teeth if she bit on it? I have had guinea pigs for 4 years now...And when they break their teeth you have to chop their food up really fine so they can eat without teeth. They will grow back REALLY quickly, in about a week. So don't worry. Just try to find out what caused her to break her teeth.
Reply:i have 2 guinea pigs, 1st call your vet and ask them if they think that its serious, if not then dont worry about it, either way i think tat itll be fine

Reply:So long as you haven't dropped it, no bleeding, don't worry about it... I had a lot of guinea pigs when I was a kid.. it was almost a GP rescue home. It happened occasionally and my pigs were fine.
