I love my boyfriend very much but his teeth are horrid. About 8 are missing, he has only 1 front tooth, some are cracked, some are blackened, some are twisted, one of his wisdom teeth has a crown missing. He has had several abcesses around different spots of his gums. He gums are black and very weak. He doesnt know where to start to get his teeth fixed. When he last went to the dentist the dentist told him he needed at least $15,000 to fix his whole mouth and my boyfriend doesn't have that kind of money. He asked could i possibly add him on to my dental insurance which i am unsure of and i cant do that till the next benefits enrollment date which is in january. Other than that he has no other alternatives. Any suggestions?
My boyfriends teeth are horrible!?
Get a new boyfriend and save the money!
Reply:Sounds like the best thing for him would be to have them taken out and fitted with dentures
Reply:Is your boyfriend Shane MacGowan??!!
Reply:tell him yo move out of the trailer park and go see a dentist!
Reply:My mom's teeth were pretty bad... not even close to that bad... and she just got them pulled out and got false teeth
Reply:Sounds like dentures are his best bet. Also, you are not going to be able to add your boyfriend to your dental insurance.
Reply:Maybe he could find a cosmetic dentist who will the do the work on credit. I.E., he pays monthly installments.
Reply:I don't know where you live but in the US there are dental clinics that treat patients based on their ability to pay ie a sliding scale, or sometimes free. Sometimes they are associated with a University Medical Center. Check with your local community services office. Some places have a Public Health Information Line that has a Dental Health Referral number. Check your phone book government listings.
Reply:That is gross
Reply:See if there is a dental school in your area. They will usually do work at a very low cost as they use it to train future dentists.
Otherwise, dentures would be the best option.
Good luck
Reply:You'll have to marry to him to put him on your insurance, or if you two have lived together more than seven years, your considered common law and could put him on your insurance.
