Everyone can see the mole, with the tooth missing you can maintain a serious expressionless look, you will appear deep and possibly interesting (just kidding you'll look miserable) . Once they get to see the tooth is missing it's too late and they will have to tell you that it is the lack of teeth that is revolting to them rather than you.
