Dropping down before shifting?

okay so i got response that once the teeth drop a lil before shift outthey stay down, so then my teeth will never close, case i will have one molar too long in my mouth, that is weird. I mean, the caps came down, they can be reshaped, but tooth behind it came down, not a capped tooth, a perfectly healthy molar and the denture plate forced it ( like a spacer) forward like from center of mouth out toward cheek forward not over to fill in missing teeth. i know i could get braces or whatever if need to pull it back but your saying it will still be longer than rest of teeth, not go back up into jaw where it was. then what can i do, nothing , makes not much sense.help!!!!!

Dropping down before shifting?
There are procedures to push a supra erupted tooth back into the bone. The procedure is called intrusion. These procedures are not commonly done because often time they require an implant to be placed to serve as an anchor to push the tooth back in. Often times a enamelplasty, which is shaving down your tooth, with a possible root canal or crown will be the more common solution.

When deciding on what treatment to do the dentist has to look at the costs and if that cost and trouble is worth saving the tooth or whether or not a pricier procedure is called for.
