What can you do if your unhappy with the way you look? i have very low self esteem?

and worry ill never be able to get a 'pretty' girlfriend, the girl i choose. i dont just to be palmed off with anybody..im 29 and im aging badly in my face , i have 2 bottom front ' missing' teeth i look like an ageing bruce willis with 21 missing teeth..i endure mental health problems right now thats been going on since 17, ive had alot of pain and trauma in my life. im awaiting a second opininon. i feel i have nothing going for me...ive never worked because of my mental health probs, i hardly own any possessions, i live in a council flat of my own. ive been despairing latley worrying what pretty girls gonna want me? my dreams in life would be to emmegrate to canada, find someone nice . a nice pretty girl...but how will i do this look at the state of me, who, what someone will want me? what nice attractive girl? ive been so upset despairing...i do speak to a girl on msn who ive known for 2 years on the net, i love her so much, she says she come to uk to see me. but im scared when she

I'm really sorry about your situation. I had very little self esteem in the past too. Perhaps my experience will give you some guidance.





First of all, I would highly recommend going to therapy and talking about your issues. A trained professional will be able to help you take some positive steps toward higher self esteem. It worked wonders for me.





Second, I would also recomend finding ways to direct your energy away from pleasing somone else and pleasing your self. Throw yourself into hobbies and activities that you enjoy. It will lift your spirits and make you a more interesting, well rounded individual.

Reply:My son is Paranoid Schizophrenic and has been since he was 19 years old. He is now 41. He found a girl friend who is Bi-Polar and they together have a wonderful life together. He cannot work and nether can she. Up until he was afflicted, he was attending a local collage for electrician. He worked and is now on Social Security Disability and will be the rest of his life. She was a registered nurse and she can't work either. They both draw SS Disability and between the two of them they can live fairly well. He built a self help home and they are very happy together. There is always hope for everyone, no matter what the circumstances. They can never get married because of the government rules. They would loose a great deal of money by getting married.
Reply:man thats the sadest story i've ever heard, i wish there was something i could say to make you feel better, just have hope and if she's a good person she'll love you the way you are with what you have and what you don't have....i realy hope things are gonna work out for you but know that it will be ok soon don't know when but it will....so just be positive with everything and it will all work out, Good luck and cheer up there's so many things to cherish and appreciate in nature just pray to God in faith and he will answer you
Reply:I think that you need to get a JOB! anyone who can write on the computer is able to work.. so if you want a new self image and want to be portrayed to others differently then you need to do something for yourself ! when you do something for yourself you gain confidence and no matter what you look like you will appear different to others and you need to stop lying... just stop it you do it all the time and you start to believe them its a sickness. go to church dont LOOK for girls spend that time trying to improve your life and peices WILL fall into place youll see.
