Having 2 wisdom teeth cut out?
I worked at a call center when I had mine taken out and I'm sorry to say but ou are going to need to take off at least a day or two from work. You for sure can't work the day you have the procedure done and you should take at least the next day off as well. When you talk a lot you run the risk of tearing out your sutures from the back of your mouth and that will get you in all sorts of trouble. Eating cold foods, taking a lot of painkillers and using chlorespetic spray will help but you still need to take time off from work.

Talk to your dentist and explain you work at a call center. They will write you up a medical excuse and you can explain to your work that it wasn't your choice to miss any days but it is what your doctor recommended. If you get fired because of that then it is considered discrimination because you can't help what your doctors orders are. So I doubt you'd have anything to worry about.
Reply:Have alot of novcane and stuff to make you hyper.
Reply:The dentist will give you some anesthetic to reduce some pain, so you won't have to worry. If you're really that scared, just take some time to do your favorite things or relax with some friends. It will be fine. Do the same before the operation- I think that would be scarier. How did you manage to get cavites in your WISDOM TEETH anyways!?
Reply:It won't hurt. Seriously..you'll be fine. My whole family has had wisdom teeth cut out..and none of us has had any pain afterward. My brother recently got 4 cut out and 4 molars pulled...he was pissing around later that day with no problems. You will have to miss the day that you get them out...but otherwise you should be ok by the following day. As far as talking goes...you'll be able to talk all you want. You can ice your face to keep the swelling down and take some advil. Otherwise..you should be good to go.
Reply:the oral surgeon usually put you to sleep for that

as long as there are no complications, you should be fine

you will be in a littel pain
Reply:Try to schedule your appointment on a Friday so you can have at least 2 days of re cup time. .. no carbonated drinks after. no peroxide gargles. can not drink through a straw... you what to avoid a dry socket which hurts alot. and delays you getting back to normal.
Reply:Relax, I had to have my bottom two cut out and all they did was give me happy gas, took the teeth out, and then gave me oxygen to reverse the gas. I drove myself home and the pain was minimal, I think you will be just fine. The best way to feel better is to listen to what the dentist tells you to do to avoid "dry socket" that is the most common complication with this procedure. Good Luck!
Reply:hey thats nothing i got 4 teeth pulled out cuz i have braces!!
Reply:I had mine pulled on a Friday. In addition to Novacaine, I Also had Valium and Laughing gas. I didn't feel a thing! I felt really, really good! I must have a really high pain threshold because I didn't take anything but motrin after my wisdoms were pulled. They gave me a prescription for Tylenol with Codeine, but I hate the way it makes me feel so I didn't take it.

Many procedures are not as bad as we believe them to be. Think positively! Good Luck!
