I didnt wear my retainers for 2 nights, will my teeth move a lot?

I forgot my retainers, and I wont be wearing them for 2 nights will my teeth move a lot?? I'll be back home on the 3rd night. I just got my braces off.. around novemebr before thanksgiving, the doctor told me to wear them at night only and I always did, never missed a night until today I forgot it when I went on a short 2 day trip. My friends have to wear their retainers 24/7 for 6 months how come I get to wear that at night only from the start?

IF there is any movement at all, then when you put your retainer back the next day it will move back to normal again..nothing to worry about.


when comparing your teeth with your friend's teeth, you have to consider many factors such as how much movement your teeth needed to have in order to achieve the correct relation compare to your friend's teeth, or how long you had braces compare to him...when you take account all of this factors, you see the reason behind your dentist's decision. what he told you is the minimum and I don't think it will hurt you if you wear your retainer more often than what your dentist have asked you to, especially since you have just taken them off.

what happens is they may get a little crooked.


but not anything too noticeable.


i only wore mine for 2 months.


then lost them
